Would you like to give your colleague a secret signal sometimes? Does your friend need a kick under the table to "get it" now and then? Do you love magic tricks? Do you remember how you would have liked to transmit results telepathically to your classmate at the blackboard?
SecretVibes makes all that possible on your iPhone! Couple two iPhones with SecretVibes over wireless LAN. One touch on the display of one of the two devices makes the other vibrate at the same time. Nothing more, nothing less. Carry your iPhone hidden in your pocket to send and receive simple messages such as "once for yes", "twice for no". Coordinate price negotiations inconspicuously: "One per $1000". Summon your friend at the right moment to meet the woman of his dreams. It works both ways, you can answer at the same time. There"s no limit to creative uses.
IMPORTANT: SecretVibes can only connect to other iPhones that run SecretVibes at the same time, and they must be logged into the same wireless LAN. Unfortunately, connections over Bluetooth or cell phone networks or between different wireless networks are not supported by SecretVibes.
Note for iPod Touch users: The iPod Touch has no built-in vibrator, so you can't use it to receive vibration signals, only as a sender. You will still see your screen flash on incoming signals, but you can't feel them. We do not limit the application to iPhones exclusively because we feel that this limited operation mode may still be useful to some iPod Touch users, for example to send stealth signals to an iPhone.
Instructions
1. Coupling iPhones
Connect two iPhones that have SecretVibes installed to the same wireless network (WLAN/WiFi). Launch SecretVibes on both iPhones. You will see a list of all iPhones that currently run SecretVibes on the same wireless network. Check the network configuration of both iPhones if you don't see the iPhone you wish to connect to. On one iPhone select the other one and accept the incoming connection request there. After the connection has been successfully established, the SecretVibes symbol is shown full screen.
2. Sending “secret vibes”
You can send "secret vibes" after you coupled two iPhones. Just tap the screen of one of the devices. The other one will vibrate briefly and flash a dark red background color on its screen. Simultaneous sending is possible. Leave a short gap between taps when you're sending several signals. This will make it easier to distinguish the signals on the receiving iPhone.
